The Hearing Examiner holds hearings, reviews evidence and testimony, and hears arguments regarding the laws, ordinances, policies and administrative regulations that apply to the application or other matter being reviewed. The Examiner then determines the pertinent facts, applies the proper law, and issues a report with a decision and/or recommendation.

The Collier County Planning Commission This 7 member quasi-judicial committee assists in the formulation and review of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan, Land Development Code, and amendments to both, and then submits their recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners for final decision.

The Board of County Commissioners serves as the governing body of the county and has the responsibility of setting policies that protect the health, safety, welfare and quality of life of our residents and visitors.  

Development Services Advisory Committee is an advisory committee advising Land Development Code and Use meetings rather than hearings. The committee serves to provide reports and recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners to assist in the enhancement of operational efficiency and budgetary accountability within the Community Development Services Division and to serve as a primary communication link between the Community Development Services Division, the development industry, and the citizens of Collier County. 

 The Historic & Archaeological Preservation Board works to increase public awareness of the importance and significance of Collier County's historic and archaeological heritage by protecting, preserving and perpetuating Collier county's historic and archaeological artifacts, sites, districts, structures, buildings, and properties.

To participate in a Collier County public hearing in-person, you must complete and submit a speaker form prior to the beginning of the discussion about the item. Please arrive 15 minutes before the hearing commences and fill out the speaker registration form on site. Speaker registration forms are not available before the day of the hearing or on the Collier County website.

All interested parties are invited to attend, and to register to speak. All registered public speakers will be limited to three minutes unless changed by the chairman.

Individuals who would like to participate remotely must complete and submit the online speaker registration form prior to the beginning of the meeting. Details in the "How to Participate Remotely" section of this web page

*All Board of County Commissioners and Collier County Planning Commission hearings are broadcast live with closed captioning on Collier Television channel 97/98 and via live streaming at Collier tv and can be viewed without registration.
