The goal of the US 41 East Corridor Zoning Overlay Project is to prepare and implement a zoning overlay that reflects community input, promotes economic vitality, and both encourages a mix of land uses and includes development standards that address the community’s needs as envisioned in the  East Naples Community Development Plan.

US41 East Corridor Zoning Overlay Community Meetings

About the US41 East Corridor Community Meetings

A series of 3 meetings were held for the community to offer their input and take an active role in the formation of the zoning overlay.  The meetings were held in-person, with the option for remote or virtual attendance.

  • The first Community Meeting was held on April 20, 2022. In this meeting, we reviewed the goals, corridor diagram, and the vision for the US 41 East Corridor per the East Naples Community Development Plan. Attendees were asked to give feedback of the diagram and the vision, and how our collaborative vision could be achieved through elements such as streetscaping and landscaping, architecture, and pedestrian routes.
  • The 2nd Community Meeting was held October 26, 2022 and included a presentation of the draft zoning overlay, Transportation considerations, FDOT classification system, and up to 3 focus area renderings that illustrated potential project designs at key locations along the corridor. Attendees were asked to provide input before the finalization of the zoning overlay to advance through the Land Development Code Amendment process.
  • The 3rd and final Community Meeting was November 30, 2022. At this meeting, we presented the final draft zoning overlay before its delivery for the Land Development Code Amendment process.
