Street Flooding

Flooding is the most common natural disaster in the United States and can happen at any time.  Collier County can be affected by coastal storm surge or flooding from rainfall.  Coastal surge is more likely to produce life-threatening conditions for affected residents while flooding from rainfall can produce life-threatening conditions, but generally causes serious property damage. It is very important for all Collier County residents to be aware of flooding risks and warnings as thunderstorms, tropical storms, or hurricanes approach the area. This webpage is designed to provide a guide on how to prepare for a flooding event.
