- Select ‘Property Detail’. This is where the Property Appraiser lists any permits pre-1989.

Identifying Open Permit(s)
- Permits pre-1989 will be listed on the Property Appraiser in the ‘Property Detail’ section.
- Permits are read as [Year Applied – Permit Number; 88-02967]
- If there is no date in the CO Date column the permit is open.

What does it mean if my permit DOES have a date in the CO Date column?
- The permit received a certificate of completion/occupancy and is closed.
Why does my permit NOT have a date in the CO Date column?
- Either the permit did not receive a certificate of completion/occupancy or the permit was not completed by the contractor or owner-builder.
What steps can I take to resolve my open permit(s)?
- Request a property card from the Property Appraisers office (239) 252-8141
- Request the permit file record from our Records Room (GMDPublicRecordRequest@colliercountyfl.gov)
- Contact BPRS (BPRS@colliercountyfl.gov)
How can I get a date in the CO Date column for my permit(s)?
- There is sufficient documentation to support the issuance of a CO date.
- Building Official determination requirement(s) have been satisfied.
- Building Official has determined the permit(s) to be substantially complete.
How long will it take to get a permit resolution?
An initial response from BPRS will be between 5 – 7 business days. Understand resolving older permit(s) is a process and requires time. Providing supplemental documentation (ex. Property card; permit file; etc.) will quicken the permit resolution process.
How long does it take to receive a permit file?
Permit file request to our Records Room (GMDPublicRecordRequest@colliercountyfl.gov) are typically fulfilled at a minimum within 5 – 7 business days.
