The nine member board was created on May 14, 1991 and amended on August 13, 1991 identifies and evaluates problems unique to the black community, reviews and recommends ways to ensure open communication between minorities and Collier County government, and provides periodic reports to the Board of County Commissioners. The committee meets at 6 p.m. on the third Monday of the month. Terms are four years.
