Collier County Public Library “Start Your Engines” Event

Collier County Public Library invites you and your family to our annual event, Start Your Engines! On February 24th, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the Headquarters Library will host a variety of vehicles from different county organizations and local businesses. Kids (and adults, too!) will have the opportunity to get up close to these vehicles and interact with them. In previous years, our parking lot has been filled with awesome emergency and community vehicles such as fire trucks, police vehicles, buses, and others from our county-wide organizations. Attendees will have the chance to meet representatives from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Domestic Animal Services, North Collier Fire and Rescue, Collier Area Transit, Collier County Road Maintenance Division, the Humane Society Naples, the Naples Zoo, and more! 

This year, kids will get the chance to be alongside (and maybe even behind the wheel of) a fire truck, ambulance, police car, and different diggers. We will also have other fun vehicles like the Humane Society Naples’ Paws Around Town bus filled with furry friends, a CAT bus, local Coast Guard Auxiliary vehicles, and others with fun surprises inside! Alongside our special guests and community vehicles, we will also host crafts and outreach tables featuring current community information. Organizations, including Collier County Museums, Parks and Recreation, the Naples Botanical Garden, and Domestic Animal Services, will be there to hand out goodies and information. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library of Collier County, this event offers a fantastic opportunity for kids and families to explore everything the library has to offer and a chance to connect with local representatives and organizations. 

The Start Your Engines event will be held on:
Saturday, February 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
at Headquarters Library, 2385 Orange Blossom Drive, Naples
