The Collier County Public Library would like to invite you and your family to our annual program
Start Your Engines: 100 Years of Community Service!
On February 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the Headquarters Library will host many vehicles from different county organizations, local businesses, and more. The goal is for kids to be able to touch the vehicles there and interact with them. In previous years, our parking lot has been filled with awesome emergency and community vehicles such as fire trucks, police vehicles, buses, and others from our County-wide organizations. Visit us and see representatives from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Domestic Animal Services, North Collier Fire and Rescue, Risk Management, Collier County Road Maintenance Division, the Humane Society Naples, the Naples Zoo, and more!
This year, kids will get the chance to get up close to (and maybe even behind the wheel of) a fire truck, ambulance, police car, and different diggers. We will also have other fun vehicles like the Paws Around Town Naples Humane Society bus filled with furry friends, a CAT bus, the ZooMobile from the Naples Zoo, a food truck, and others with fun surprises inside! The program is geared towards families and will be lots of fun. We will also be hosting crafts and outreach tables with current community information. Organizations, including Collier County Museums, Parks and Recreation, the Naples Botanical Garden, and Domestic Animal Services, will be there to hand out goodies and information. Our event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library, and attendees can play games, get their face painted, and enjoy everything the Library offers. The Library’s event for kids and families is a great way to connect with local representatives and organizations; we find it really engages our patrons, especially as we celebrate our county’s centennial in 2023.
The Start Your Engines event will be held on:
Saturday, February 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
at Headquarters Library, 2385 Orange Blossom Drive, Naples, Florida
Come and join in the fun and race to the Library!
