In order to get a Presidential Disaster Declaration which will enable you to recover at least 75% of your disaster costs, we have to cross the $-threshold of expenses incurred by all eligible agencies in Collier County. This is done by submitting your estimated expenditures and damage repair costs to the County Emergency Operations Center as soon as possible and updating the numbers as changes occur. FloridaPA.org: This site is very important if you're a partner in the Florida disaster process. This is Florida's site for governmental and private nonprofit applicants to update information, upload forms, get disaster forms, track project worksheets, read disaster policies, get specific disaster information, e.g., disaster dates and FEMA designation numbers, etc. Potential applicants should get a username/password for the site. Not all disasters result in a "Presidential Disaster Declaration". However, when one happens, you must follow the "golden rule". (NOTE: He who has the gold makes the rules.) To recover some of the money you spent in response to the disaster, you must follow the rules.
