Last Set Out Date for Hurricane Debris

Sunday, January 8, 2023

Collier County Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Division asks residents to place curbside any remaining hurricane debris by Sunday, January 8. Crews have made tremendous progress over the past three months to remove more than 1.3 million cubic yards of hurricane-generated debris from the City of Naples, the City of Marco, Everglades City and unincorporated Collier County.

“We would like to thank residents for their patience and understanding during the Hurricane Ian debris removal mission. We know the process has not been easy. Your cooperation and understanding have allowed us to restore our paradise by removing debris in record time. Our teams will continue to work diligently until the entire community is cleaned up,” said Division Director Kari Hodgson.

The county’s contractors can only remove hurricane debris. Reconstruction, renovation, repair work and lot-clearing debris will not be collected and must be disposed of by residents or their contractors. Any non-hurricane-generated yard waste and bulky waste will be collected with regular curbside services.

For more information on the correct way to separate hurricane debris at the curb, visit colliercountyfl.gov/hurricaneprep. Residents with questions about the curbside collection may email hurricaneppdr@colliercountyfl.gov or call Public Utilities Customer Service at (239) 252-2380.
