The Senior Nutrition Program is designed to promote better health among Collier County's elderly citizens who are 60 and over and have the greatest economic need by providing nutritious meals each weekday, supplemented by nutrition education programs to encourage more healthful eating habits at home. The Senior Nutrition Program encourages seniors to attend one of the nutrition centers located in Collier County.

Attendees participate in activities planned by program staff to ease the isolation and loneliness that sometimes occurs with aging. The program provides home-delivered meals to those seniors who are homebound or because of serious illness, cannot attend the centers.
