Affordable Housing Information
Collier County's Community & Human Services (CHS) Division includes a vast operation that addresses affordable housing and social services. The affordable housing component of the department seeks to support the Housing Element of the Growth Management Plan.
CHS works collaboratively with non-profit organizations, governmental agencies, and public-private partnerships to coordinate activities and effectively leverage federal and state grant funds awarded to Collier County.

HUD (Department of Housing and Urban Development) Section 8 Housing:

Collier County Continuum of Care (CoC) Grant Program:
The CoC Grant Program provides for non-profits and governmental organizations to apply for grant funding to support their permanent, temporary, and transitional housing programs, as well as the data systems to support such programs. The CoC grants are now managed by the Southwest Florida Regional Coalition to End Homelessness as designated by the local Continuum of Care Coalition. Please call 239-263-9363 for more information.
Annually, the CoC program provides approximately $300,000 in Supportive Housing funds to Collier County via a competitive application round. Applications are reviewed and ranked by HUD on a nationwide basis.
Fair Housing Program
Our mission is to ensure equal and affordable housing opportunities for all people, by promoting culturally diverse communities through open housing and the elimination of all barriers to that goal.

Fair Housing Administrator - Tracey Smith (tracey.smith@colliercountyfl.gov) is available to receive and file informal complaints on alleged discretionary housing practices and provide a form on which complaints may be submitted.
