Country Jam 2008 kicks off Friday, March 7 with music and a carnival at the Collier County Fairgrounds located at 751 39th Ave. NE, just 10 miles east of I-75. This is a NEW location!
Saturday, March 8 national acts will take the stage with other family activities including the Miss Little Country Jam Pageant and the Chili Salsa Cook-Off.
Sunday, March 9, the event continues with a TexMex mix of music and carnival fun for kids.
SATURDAY TALENT LINE UP:
Saturday concerts run from 2 to 10 p.m. and gates open up at 2 p.m.
Gary Allan returns to Country Jam. Allan is known for his no nonsense edgy, rock sound and he is promoting his new album Living Hard with his performance this year.
Mark Wills will perform songs from his new album Familiar Stranger, released this month. Wills is a multi-platinum selling country star and was named the 1999 Country Music’s Top New Male Vocalist.
Keith Anderson is newer to country music, named the 2005 Number One New Male Artist by music trades the Billboard and Radio and Records. Anderson’s energized performance and drive to be number one make him a hit with crowds.
Rockie Lynne, co-founder of Tribute To The Troops, an organization raising money to support soldiers and their families, will also perform Saturday night. Lynne has been performing since a young age and in January released a new single called I Can’t Believe It’s Me.
TICKETS INFORMATION: Saturday, March 8 tickets are $25 and available only at the gate now. Saturday, children three and under are free and ages four to 12 cost $5 to enter. CARNIVAL INCLUDED FOR EVERYONE ON SATURDAY ONLY.
Friday, 6 to 10 p.m., and Sunday, 12 to 6 p.m., there are local music performances and a carnival for a $5 entry fee. Children 10 and younger enter free. An Unlimited Carnival Wrist Band costs an additional $10.
