Music makes your heart dance, not just your feet! What better way to give kids the chance to connect than a Hip-Hop Talent Competition?
North Collier Regional Park’s Exhibit Hall hosts a variety of programs to educate children and is proud to host its first Hip-Hop Talent Competition. This program is more than a traditional dance competition and includes a wide range of categories.
Any Hip-Hop enthusiast with skill is welcome to attend this talent expo on March 15, 2008 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will showcase group talent.
Competition categories include singing, rapping, spoken word, instrumental and dance. All entries must be suitable for family viewing. Competitors perform as a group and the group size is limited to five individuals in Middle School or High School. Middle School aged children compete in different groups than High School aged children.
There is a registration fee of $10 per person for a maximum total per team of $50. Representatives from each team will be required to attend a pre-competition meeting at North Collier Regional Park Exhibit Hall on March 14 at 7 p.m. and fees are due at that time. It is estimated more than 30 teams may compete for the grand titles!
The winner in each category could qualify for a national competition in Miami, Florida. This program is run jointly by Collier County Parks and Recreation and Hip-Hop In Progress, Inc.
